Margaritas are great for a day at the pool, but there’s something extra classy about a good sangria. This quick and easy fruit and wine concoction can be mixed up in a couple of minutes and is the perfect accompaniment to a lazy summer evening.
- 1 Bottle Cabernet
- 1 Bottle Chardonnay
- 1 Can Sprite
- 1 Orange, Sliced
- 2 Limes, Sliced
- Mix all ingredients in a large pitcher and serve over ice!
If you have any other fruits on hand, throw those in too! Apples, grapes, pears, melons, pineapple – the more the merrier!
You can serve this drink immediately over ice or let it hang out in the refrigerator for a while so the flavors can get to know one another.
This drink won’t freeze but you can use frozen fruit as tasty ice cubes!
The European Union wants you to know that true sangria only comes from Spain or Portugal. They want you to know that so much, in fact, that they passed a law saying that red wine blended with fruit can only be labeled sangria if it came from one of those aforementioned countries. So technically this is an Aromatized Wine-Based Drink.
